Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Production Manager to lead operations at its Vereeniging facility in Gauteng. You will oversee the full production process, drive quality, efficiency, and safety, and align with GMP, HACCP/ISO standards.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Engineering or Operations Management (Master's preferred), with at least seven years in FMCG production leadership, strong Lean, ERP, and planning software, and a proven track record of building

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive production management experience in FMCG.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale production operations and leading diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize all production activities to meet output targets, quality standards, and cost objectives.
• Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring efficient utilization of resources, including machinery, materials, and personnel.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse production team, fostering a culture of high performance, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies on the production floor.
• Monitor production performance, analyze data, and implement corrective actions to resolve operational issues and enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, logistics, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless workflow and product delivery.
