The role requires a strong background in manufacturing management, Lean/Six Sigma experience, and a proven track record of cost reduction and continuous improvement in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of Operations/Production Management experience in FMCG.
• Proven track record in improving efficiency, reducing costs, and implementing Lean or Six Sigma.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and EHS standards.
• Experience managing budgets and P&L for manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily manufacturing and production operations to meet output targets and quality standards for FMCG products in East London.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency strategies.
• Manage production schedules, labor, and resources to optimize output and minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the facility.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production supervisors and staff, fostering accountability and performance.
• Collaborate with supply chain, QA, and engineering to ensure seamless operations.
