Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Logistics Coordinator to manage transportation and distribution from the Mahikeng hub, ensuring timely, cost-effective movement of goods. You will coordinate with carriers, track shipments, and maintain documentation to support an efficient supply chain in the North West region.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or similar role, preferably in FMCG.
• Strong understanding of transportation management, logistics operations and supply chain principles.
• Proficiency in using logistics software and TMS systems.
• Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation to ensure timely deliveries.
• Liaise with 3PLs and carriers to negotiate rates and schedule shipments.
• Track shipments, monitor progress and address delays or issues.
• Prepare and maintain shipping manifests, bills of lading, and customs forms.
• Optimize routes and modes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Process logistics invoices and reconcile discrepancies.
