About the Role

Our client, a prominent entity in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is seeking an organized and efficient Distribution Manager to oversee their logistics operations in Mahikeng, North West. This role is critical for ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of products to various distribution points and customers. You will manage warehouse operations, optimize inventory flow, and lead a team to maintain high standards of service and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse and distribution operations, ensuring efficient receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch of FMCG products.


• Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce handling costs, and improve overall supply chain efficiency.


• Manage a team of warehouse and logistics staff, providing training, guidance, and performance management.


• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory standards within the distribution center.


• Liaise with transportation providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods across the region.


• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technologies to track inventory, monitor operations, and generate performance reports.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Distribution Management or Warehouse Management, preferably in the FMCG industry.


• Strong understanding of logistics, inventory management, and supply chain principles.


• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant logistics software.


• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to manage teams effectively and foster a positive work environment.
