Placements24 is seeking a driven Key Account Manager based in Klerksdorp, North West. You will nurture relationships with national and regional retailers, drive sales performance, and implement product strategies and promotions.

The role demands strong negotiation and analytical skills, with the ability to collaborate across marketing, supply chain, and finance. You will manage key accounts, develop strategic plans, present plans and promotions, and deliver regular performance updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Key Account Management, Sales, or related FMCG role.
• Proven track record of managing and growing large retail accounts.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of the FMCG retail environment and distribution channels in South Africa.
• Proficiency in sales CRM software and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic account plans to meet and exceed sales targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at major retail chains.
• Regularly engage with accounts to present new product offerings and promotions.
• Analyze sales data, market trends, and account performance to identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and finance to ensure seamless execution and satisfaction.
• Negotiate terms, pricing, and promotional agreements with key accounts.
• Manage order fulfillment and ensure timely delivery of products.
• Identify opportunities for product placement and enhanced shelf visibility.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to management.
