Placements24 is recruiting a dynamic Key Account Manager to manage and grow strategic retail partnerships in Centurion, Gauteng within the FMCG sector. You will drive sales, ensure optimal product visibility, and lead account plans with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years in KAM or Sales in FMCG, strong negotiation and presentation skills, and a solid understanding of the South African retail landscape. Centurion-based position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in Key Account Management or Sales within FMCG.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing key accounts.
• Strong negotiation, influencing, and relationship management skills.
• Excellent understanding of the South African retail environment and channel dynamics.
• Proficiency in sales analytics and reporting tools.
• Strong commercial acumen and financial literacy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in Centurion.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic account plans to drive sales growth and achieve targets for key retail accounts.
• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with buyers, category managers, and other key decision-makers at retail partners.
• Negotiate trade terms, promotional activities, and shelf space agreements.
• Ensure effective product assortment, placement, and merchandising within assigned accounts.
• Analyze sales performance data, market trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and challenges.
• Collaborate with internal marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of account plans.
• Manage forecasting and inventory requirements for key accounts to prevent stock-outs and optimize turnover.
• Present business reviews and strategic proposals to retail partners.
