Job summary

The BEverage COMpany in Gauteng is seeking an Operations CAPEX Manager to lead multi-site capital projects, from strategy to delivery. You will oversee automation, equipment upgrades, and site expansions, driving value across engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, and IT.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in industrial project management within beverages/FMCG, PMP/PRINCE2, and a track record with large CAPEX (R50M+).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering (GCC preferred).
Postgraduate Business or Operations qualification is advantageous.
PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is required.
8+ years of progressive project management experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors (beverages/FMCG).
Proven experience managing large capital projects (R50M+) and plant upgrades.
Exposure to high-speed beverage manufacturing environments (e.g., PET bottling, canning).

Responsibilities

Develop a multi-year capital project roadmap aligned with growth strategy.
Lead execution of CAPEX projects including high-speed bottling lines and plant automation.
Drive cross-site, cross-functional leadership across engineering, operations, quality, procurement, logistics, HR, and IT.
Establish governance, budgets, timelines, and risk management.
Ensure health, safety and environmental compliance and regulatory standards.
Track project outcomes, KPIs, and long-term benefits realization.
