Job summary

SAB is seeking a CAPEX PMO Manager to lead capital expenditure strategy, budgeting, and governance across Technology. You will drive investment evaluation, ROI analyses, and portfolio management, partnering with senior stakeholders to ensure efficient, compliant delivery of capital projects.

The role requires strong leadership, financial acumen and excellent stakeholder management in a complex FMCG environment. Band VI, based in South Africa, offers development and impact across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum of five years' experience in an FMCG or similarly complex, fast-paced environment.
• CIMA, CA(SA), MBA, CFA or PMP qualification, or progress towards a relevant professional qualification.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint capability, with knowledge of ERP and planning systems such as SAP, Syspro and Anaplan.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the capital expenditure strategy in line with business priorities and financial targets.
• Prepare annual CAPEX budgets and forecasts based on business requirements and investment priorities.
• Monitor actual investment against budget and provide clear performance visibility.
• Evaluate and prioritise capital proposals using financial analysis and ROI calculations.
• Manage CAPEX submission and approval process, coordinating governance forums and senior leadership approvals.
• Maintain PMO standards, controls and reporting routines across Technology.
• Track project scope, timelines, budgets, benefits, risks, issues and dependencies.
