Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Flight Operations Coordinator to join our client’s team in Benoni, Gauteng. The role encompasses day-to-day coordination of flight schedules, crew assignments, and operational logistics to support safe and compliant operations.

This is an on-site position central to our flight operations in the Benoni region. The ideal candidate will have a relevant aviation qualification, at least 3 years in flight operations, strong planning and communication skills, and

Qualifications

• Must have a relevant qualification in Aviation Management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in flight operations or related role.
• Strong knowledge of flight planning and aviation regulations.
• Proficient in flight operations software and systems.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage flight schedules, ensuring efficient utilization of aircraft and crew resources.
• Assign flight crews based on availability, qualifications, and duty time limitations.
• Monitor flight progress, weather conditions, and air traffic control information, making necessary adjustments to schedules.
• Liaise with pilots, cabin crew, maintenance personnel, and ground handlers to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation regulations, company policies, and operational procedures.
• Prepare and disseminate flight documentation, including flight plans, NOTAMs, and operational briefs.
• Manage operational disruptions, such as weather delays or technical issues, and implement contingency plans.
• Maintain accurate records of flight operations, crew duty times, and operational data.
• Respond to operational inquiries and provide support to flight crews and other stakeholders.
