Job summary

Netstar in Midrand, Gauteng, seeks an Operations Manager - Rental to lead end-to-end service delivery across Rent-to-Own, Car, Truck, Van, Trailer, Golf Cart and Motorbike Rental. You will drive fleet lifecycle, billing governance, and platform reliability.

The role requires strategic cross-functional alignment, 7–10 years of operational leadership experience, and a strong background in telematics and asset tracking. Permanent, onsite position with opportunities for impact.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or Advanced Diploma in Operations Management, Business Management, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

Directs scheduling, resource planning, and field execution for device installations, de-installations, and transfers across all asset categories.
Oversees rapid turnarounds for de-fleeting and re-fleeting to minimize revenue loss and fleet downtime.
Audits active versus inactive rental registers to eliminate billing leakage; ensures immediate billing activation on onboarding and stops billing on decommissioned or written-off units.
Resolves billing disputes alongside Finance.
Partners with IT and Engineering to safeguard 99% availability across client telematics portals and apps; serves as the primary operational escalation point and leads SLA reviews.
