The candidate will lead maintenance planning, supervise technicians, and liaise with drivers and operations to minimize downtime while maintaining high safety and reliability standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as Fleet Maintenance Supervisor or similar role.
• Strong technical expertise in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance.
• Experience managing a team of mechanics/technicians.
• Proficiency with fleet maintenance software and diagnostic tools.
• On-site Randburg work experience or willingness to be on-site.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the work of fleet maintenance technicians and mechanics.
• Develop and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance schedules for all vehicles in the fleet.
• Oversee all vehicle repairs, ensuring quality workmanship and timely completion.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles and direct repair efforts accordingly.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and consumables, ensuring adequate stock levels and cost-effective procurement.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and environmental policies in the workshop.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using fleet management software.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide training for maintenance staff.
• Liaise with drivers and operations to address vehicle issues promptly.
