Job summary

Vineyard Hotel in Newlands, Cape Town, seeks a professional FIT Specialist for a fixed-term maternity cover of 6 months. You will manage and optimise FIT reservations to maximise revenue while delivering an exceptional guest experience.

FIT Specialist | Newlands, Cape Town (Fixed-Term Contract - 6 Months Maternity Leave Cover - Monthly Paid)

An exciting Fixed-Term Maternity Leave Cover (6 Months) opportunity exists for an experienced and highly professional FIT Specialist to join the Vineyard Hotel team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimising Free Independent Traveller (FIT) reservations, with a strong focus on maximising revenue while delivering a seamless and exceptional guest experience.

Key Accountabilities

• Reservations Management: process FIT reservations accurately and efficiently within established SLA timeframes
• Revenue optimisation: maximise average rooms rates through effective upselling and cross-selling
• Guest service excellence: provide personalized, attentive service for guests
• Financial compliance: secure deposits and payment guarantee per policy; ensure compliance with cancellation & refund policies; minimize bad debt and no-show losses through proactive measures
• Coordination and communication: flag potential operational issues proactively

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (NQF Level 4) is required
• 2 years’ experience in hotel reservations
• Experience handling individual guest bookings (FIT)
• Satisfactory criminal record, subject to assessment of the nature, severity, relevance, and recency of any offence.
