Job summary

Old Mutual South Africa in East London is seeking a dynamic customer service and sales support professional to deliver advisory services across a defined product range, handling inquiries and developing relationships with allocated customers.

You will interview customers using a multilevel sales script, ensure data accuracy in the CRM, and follow compliant procedures while identifying sales opportunities and providing first contact support.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or sales preferred.
• Follows standardized sales scripts and processes.
• Strong data entry and CRM skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out standard customer service activities and handle simple customer inquiries.
• Assess compliance with established standards and protocols for routine inquiries.
• Receive visitors and assist with information requests, referring more complex matters to colleagues.
• Ensure that basic customer details held in the system are accurate, and note follow-up actions.
• Interview the customer, following a multilevel sales script, to clarify requirements.
• Make calls to allocated potential customers to develop relationships and provide first contact for queries.
• Follow mandatory procedures to ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance.
• Carry out routine business development support tasks and assist others by following established procedures.
• Identify potential customers by obtaining information and referrals from existing customers.
• Select data from information and input into spreadsheets or standard formats.
• Demonstrate understanding of networking value within and outside the company.
