Job summary

Network Finance is seeking a Financial Director in Durban to provide strategic, executive financial leadership and influence commercial decisions across the business. The role demands CA(SA) with 5–10 years in senior management, proven FP&A, consolidation across entities, and listed-company experience.

You will lead FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling, oversee treasury and cash flow, and drive large-scale transformation initiatives within a major distribution/logistics group.

Qualifications

Our client is a major distribution and logistics giant based in Durban, looking for a Financial Director who can operate at executive level, influence commercial decisions and bring the financial, operational and strategic picture together. This is a high-impact leadership role within a listed environment, where you'll work closely with executive leadership across commercial strategy, risk, pricing, modelling, performance and growth. Beyond keeping the numbers in check, you'll be expected to challenge, improve and transform, from driving continuous improvement and change initiatives to strengthening systems, processes and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Job Experience and Skills:

• Distribution, logistics, warehousing, supply chain, manufacturing or transport experience preferred
• Strong strategic, commercial and executive leadership capability
• Proven FP&A and financial modelling experience
• Strong financial reporting and listed compliance knowledge
• Consolidation experience across multiple entities
• Strong treasury, CAPEX and cash flow expertise
• Track record of leading implementations, continuous improvement and change management
• Advanced MS Excel, including modelling and dashboard development
• Sage experience
• Experience with consolidation platforms such as Oracle HFM, Cognos or similar
• ShipShape experience advantageous
