Job summary

Network Recruitment is representing a major listed distribution and logistics business based in Durban seeking a Financial Director who can operate at executive level and align financial, operational and strategic perspectives at scale.

The role leads FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling, while overseeing treasury, governance, and listed-compliance requirements. A strong track record in leading large finance teams and driving transformation is essential.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years' experience at senior management / executive level.
• Listed-company experience essential.
• Distribution, logistics, warehousing, supply chain, manufacturing or transport experience preferred.
• Proven FP&A and financial modelling experience.
• Strong treasury, CAPEX and cash flow expertise.
• Consolidation experience across multiple entities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and executive financial leadership across the business.
• Partner with executive leadership on commercial strategy, pricing and business decisions.
• Lead FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling.
• Oversee financial reporting and listed-company compliance requirements.
• Manage statutory compliance and governance.
• Lead group consolidations.
• Oversee treasury, cash flow and working capital management.
• Lead CAPEX planning, evaluation and financial control.
• Lead and develop a large finance team.
• Drive continuous improvement, transformation and change initiatives.
• Strengthen processes, systems and financial controls.
• Build and maintain advanced financial models and executive dashboards.
