Job summary

Old Mutual South Africa is seeking a financial adviser to provide pro-active financial service and advice to customers within an allocated market. You will maintain superior service delivery by building strong client relationships and recommending sound financial solutions aligned to customer goals and compliance frameworks.

The role requires formal in-house training, completion of prescribed regulatory exams, and ongoing professional development, with a preference for candidates with FAIS

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
• FAIS compliance.
• RE5 an advantage.
• A valid Driver’s licence and your own car.
• A clear criminal and credit check.
• A minimum of 3 years working experience (preferably in sales).
• Proven computer literacy (MS Office suite).
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Provide a quality service to customers while identifying opportunities to secure new business or support retention.
• Analyze specific problems and issues to find the best solutions (technical or professional).
• Receive visitors and assist with inquiries, referring complex matters to colleagues.
• Enter relevant information into the CRM system after each contact to support retention and business development.
• Set clear objectives for each sales call or meeting and tailor materials for decision-makers.
• Develop and implement a relationship management plan to build key accounts and enable two-way information flow.
• Develop knowledge of policies and regulatory codes to ensure compliant work.
• Monitor and assess sales and market data to identify growth opportunities in a geographic region.
• Develop a personal network and represent the organization at sector events.
• Conduct research and extract data to analyze key themes using BI tools.
• Participate in a network of people, technologies, and ideas inside and outside the company.
