Job summary

Mediclinic is seeking an experienced Financial/Operations Manager to lead the hospital revenue and cost management function in Sandton, Gauteng. You will oversee procurement, asset management, contracts and risk management while guiding a team to deliver accurate financial reporting and governance in a healthcare setting.

The role requires a degree in finance or accounting with at least 5 years’ financial experience and 3–5 years in a managerial or supervisory position, including SAP procurement

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in financial, business or accounting.
• Financial management degree or diploma preferred.
• Essential minimum experience in hospital/healthcare financial administration is implied by role.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To manage the financial department and all related processes to ensure effective management of hospital revenue and expenses. Oversee the quality of outcomes of the different supportive services departments.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Degree or equivalent qualification in financial, business or accounting

DESIRED EDUCATION: Financial management degree/ diploma

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 5 years of financial experience.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years’ experience in a managerial or supervisory position.

5 years of financial administration manager experience within the hospital/healthcare industry.

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Financial and cost management (financial statement interpretation, budgeting and financial planning, cost analysis, Return on Investment, etc.)


• Cost Control (including petty cash, etc.)


• Ability to manage/ supervise people


• Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis on Excel)
