Job summary

Pump and Abrasion Technologies seeks a Financial Accountant to manage full accounting cycles from source documents to trial balance. You will prepare journals, reconcile ledgers, and handle VAT, intercompany activity, and monthly management reports.

The role requires a BCom in Accounting, 3–5 years’ experience, and SAIPA/SAICA membership or eligibility. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, is essential.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of financial management experience.
• BCom Degree in Accounting is compulsory.
• SAIPA or SAICA membership is required.
• Syspro experience is an added advantage.
• MS Excel proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Full accounting function.
• Processing from source documents to trial balance.
• Preparation of monthly journals (salary, depreciation, loan interest).
• General ledger reconciliations.
• Cash book processing and reconciliation.
• Debtors and creditors control reconciliations.
• Bank reconciliations.
• VAT calculations and VAT reconciliations.
• Intercompany invoices monthly.
• Preparation of monthly management reports and accounts.
• Assist with annual financial statements and audits.

Key Competencies & requirements:

• 3 to 5 Years experience in Financial management
• BCom Degree in Accounting - COMPULSORY
• Membership at SAIPA or SAICA
• Syspro experience will be an added advantage
