Job summary

TrudyQ Consulting seeks an experienced Financial Accountant to manage day-to-day financial administration across multiple entities. The role requires independence, ownership of the finance function, and accurate reporting to trial balance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience, SAICA/SAIPA articles (advantageous), and hands-on VAT, payroll, audits, and financial statement work. Proficiency with Sage 50/Pastel, CaseWare, and Excel is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified with BCom Accounting / BCom Financial Accounting / BAcc
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles (advantageous)
• Minimum 5 years' bookkeeping/accounting experience
• Experience with financial statements and management accounts
• Exposure to VAT, payroll, taxation and audits
• Experience with multiple entities advantageous
• Experience with Sage 50/Pastel Partner and CaseWare/Draftworx advantageous
• Strong Excel skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process monthly journals
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

This financial services group is seeking an experienced, dependable Financial Accountant to manage day-to-day financial administration across multiple entities

The role requires someone who works independently, takes ownership of the finance function, meets deadlines confidently, and maintains a high level of accuracy. The ideal candidate will have extensive financial accounting or bookkeeping experience and be able to manage the accounting function through to trial balance with minimal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• BCom Accounting, BCom Financial Accounting, BAcc or equivalent accounting qualification Completed their SAICA or SAIPA articles (Advantageous)
• Minimum 5 years' bookkeeping/accounting experience
• Sound understanding of accounting principles
• Experience preparing financial statements/management accounts
• Exposure to VAT, payroll, taxation and audits
• Experience working with multiple companies/entities will be advantageous
• Experience with Sage 50/Pastel Partner
• Experience with CaseWare/Draftworx (Advantageous)
• Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Ideally reside close or within Centurion, Gauteng Region
• Working Hours: 08h00 16h00 (Mon Thursday) | Wednesdays Remote & Fridays 08h00 13h00

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting

• Prepare and process monthly journals Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations Maintain the fixed asset register Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Assist in preparing management accounts

Tax & Compliance

Accounts Receivable & Payable

• Prepare customer and supplier reconciliations Review outstanding debtors and creditors Assist with debt collection on arrear debtors Assist with payment preparations Allocate receipts and payments

Reporting & Finance Support

• Assist with daily cash flow updates Assist with monthly reconciliations and reports Compile audit files and supporting documentation
