Job summary

Glimmer is seeking a newly qualified CA(SA) to join our fintech finance team in Johannesburg. You will own month-end close, IFRS reporting, and management accounts in a fast-paced payments business.

You'll gain exposure to merchant settlements, card scheme clearing, and regulatory reporting while working with IT, operations and product teams. A challenging, growth-oriented environment awaits your careful, numbers-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• Newly qualified CA(SA) with completed articles.
• Solid IFRS and VAT knowledge.
• Exposure to payments, banking, fintech or financial services audit clients is a plus.
• The ability to explain the numbers to people outside finance.
• A curious, adaptable mindset and the drive to perform under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close, management accounts, and IFRS reporting.
• Learn merchant settlements, card scheme clearing (Visa and Mastercard), interchange and chargebacks.
• Present the monthly results to Head of the Acquiring Division.
• Improve reconciliations, automate controls, and help with system implementations alongside IT, operations and product teams.
• Cover tax, VAT, treasury, cash flow forecasting and regulatory reporting.
