Job summary

Communicate Recruitment in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town is seeking a newly qualified CA(SA) for a Senior Accountant role on a 6-month fixed-term contract. You will join the manufacturing finance team and start contributing from day one.

The role covers costing, inventory, foreign transactions, cash flow, budgeting, and month-end processes, with exposure to strategic financial decision-making and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Partner with operations and finance teams to support financial performance and drive improvements
• Manage supplier accounts, reconciliations and payment processing
• Assist with foreign supplier transactions and foreign exchange activities
• Prepare monthly accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support stock costing, inventory reconciliations and goods-in-transit reporting
• Analyze manufacturing costs to identify efficiency improvements
• Contribute to cash flow forecasting and working capital management
• Prepare journals and assist with month-end reporting processes
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Assist with annual audits and year-end financial processes
• Work closely with operational teams to ensure accurate reporting
• Drive process improvements and leverage technology to enhance reporting accuracy
