Job summary

JVR Software in East London seeks a detail‑oriented accountant to manage the complete accounting function, including AR, AP, and payroll. You will prepare monthly reports and uphold the general ledger with reconciliations and compliance processes.

The role requires a BCom degree with articles completed, strong numerical and analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel and accounting software. A valid driver’s license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting function, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll.
• Prepare and present monthly financial reports.
• Maintain the general ledger, including reconciliations and compliance processes.
• Manage statutory submissions and compliance requirements, including VAT, corporate tax, and related returns.
• Assist the Finance Manager with reporting, analysis, budgeting, and ad hoc financial tasks.
• Liaise with external auditors and provide supporting documentation during audit processes.
• Ensure financial records are maintained accurately and in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
