Job summary

Ergasia Placements is seeking an organised accounting professional to support the Financial Manager with day-to-day operations, including processing transactions and performing bank, stock and creditors reconciliations.

The ideal candidate will have strong numerical and analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines while maintaining accurate financial records.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) required; relevant diploma or degree in Financial Accounting, Management Accounting or Financial Management.
• BCom Accounting or BCompt qualification advantageous.
• 3–5 years' relevant accounting experience.
• Strong computer literacy and proficiency in accounting software.
• Experience with bank, stock and creditors' reconciliations.
• Sound understanding of financial management and accounting principles.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Financial Manager with day-to-day financial operations.
• Process accounting transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Perform bank, stock and creditors' reconciliations.
• Assist with cash management and financial controls.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Support financial reporting and general accounting administration.
• Assist with operational, financial and project management activities.
