Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Assist in the preparation and management of the annual organizational budget.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and auditing requirements specific to non-profit organizations in South Africa.
• Process donor contributions and ensure accurate recording and acknowledgement.
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts regularly.
• Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and information.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and internal controls.
• Assist program managers with budget monitoring and financial queries.
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records.
