Placements24 is seeking a Finance Officer to oversee day-to-day financial operations for a Bloemfontein non-profit. You will manage accounting functions, budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting to ensure financial health and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, 4+ years in financial management (preferably in non-profits), and solid GAAP/IFRS knowledge with Pastel/SAP proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of progressive financial management experience, preferably non-profit.
• Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency with accounting software (Pastel, SAP) and advanced Excel.
• Experience with budgeting, planning, and forecasting.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Responsabilités

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
• Develop, manage, and monitor annual budgets with forecasts and variance analysis.
• Prepare financial statements and management accounts for stakeholders.
• Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations and deductions.
• Manage banking relationships and reconcile statements.
• Support audit processes with documentation and liaise with external auditors.
