Placements24 is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee all financial operations for a well-established NGO in Soweto. You will lead budgeting, financial reporting, audit management, and the implementation of robust controls to ensure fiscal responsibility across Gauteng programs.

The role requires a CA(SA)/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent qualification with at least five years in financial management, preferably in charity work. You will work in a collaborative team focused on community impact.

Qualifications

  • Professional accounting qualification (CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of financial management experience, preferably within the Charity & Voluntary sector.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, reporting, and audit management.
  • Experience with grant-funded projects is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial operations including accounting, payroll, and treasury.
  • Develop and monitor annual budgets with forecasts and variance analysis.
  • Prepare timely financial statements for management, board and external stakeholders.
  • Manage annual audit processes and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls and financial policies.
  • Manage banking relationships and cash flow.

About the Role
