Job summary

HandPicked Recruitment is seeking a Station Manager in Pretoria to oversee all operational aspects of a busy filling station. The role requires leadership of cashiers, attendants, and merchandisers, with a focus on stock control and efficient invoicing processes.

You will drive customer service excellence on the forecourt and in-store, monitor compliance with company policies, manage daily reconciliations, and lead a team through training and performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12.
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport.
• 5+ years in a similar managerial role (retail/filling station preferred).
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word.

Responsibilities

• Manage all operational aspects of the filling station.
• Supervise cashiers, pump attendants, and merchandisers.
• Oversee stock ordering and inventory control.
• Ensure accurate invoicing and processing.
• Maintain standards and compliance with company policies.
• Manage cash-up procedures and daily reconciliations.
• Implement controls to minimize shrinkage and losses.
• Provide leadership, training, and performance management to staff.
• Deliver excellent customer service on forecourt and in-store.

Minimum requirements:

Matric / Grade 12 Valid drivers licence needed and own transport 5+ years experience in a similar managerial role (retail/filling station environment would be preferred) Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word

Duties will include, but is not limited to:

• Ensure correct capturing and processing of invoices
• Maintain operational standards and ensure compliance with company policies
• Manage cash-up procedures and daily reconciliations
• Implement controls to minimize shrinkage and losses
• Provide leadership, training, and performance management to staff
• Ensure excellent customer service on forecourt and in-store
