Job summary

Liquid Thought Group in Cape Town is looking for a Field Worker (Youth & Community Outreach) to deliver prevention-focused programmes at schools and youth groups in the Ottery/Wynberg area. You will represent the organisation with compassion and work from the Ottery/Wynberg office when not in the field.

The role requires fluency in English and Afrikaans, a valid driver’s license, and a passion for community upliftment aligned with Christian values; previous youth outreach experience is essential.

• Develop and customise training material as needed.
• Maintain a presence at the Ottery/Wynberg office when not in the field.

About the Organisation:

This NPO is dedicated to the prevention and education of substance abuse, focusing on school learners and youth across Cape Town. Their work includes direct outreach, education and community engagement, with a strong emphasis on substance abuse awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver prevention-focused programmes at schools, youth groups, and partner organisations
• Facilitate workshops and presentations on substance abuse, bullying and other issues impacting todays youth
• Develop and customise training material as needed
• Maintain a presence at the Ottery/Wynberg office when not out in the field
• Represent the organisation with professionalism and compassion across all engagements

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with youth is essential
• Passion for community upliftment and a strong alignment with Christian values
• Confident public speaker with excellent communication skills
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans
• Valid drivers licence and willingness to drive a Quantum vehicle for outreach purposes
