Placements24 is seeking a Telecom Site Acquisition Specialist for the Nelspruit, Mpumalanga region. This on-site role focuses on identifying suitable telecom sites, negotiating leases, and navigating zoning and permitting processes with local authorities.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in site acquisition, strong negotiation, and excellent relationship-building skills to coordinate with owners, agents, and regulators.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in site acquisition, preferably telecom or wireless.
• Experience negotiating real estate leases and terms.
• Knowledge of zoning, permitting, and regulatory compliance in South Africa.
• Must reside in or relocate to Nelspruit, Mpumalanga.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential sites for telecom infrastructure through market research and site walks.
• Negotiate lease terms with property owners.
• Conduct zoning, environmental, and access feasibility studies.
• Submit permit applications to municipal and regulatory bodies.
• Manage permitting process and address regulator requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering/construction teams to meet requirements.
• Maintain records of site progress, leases, and permits.
• Build relationships with property owners, agents, and officials.
• Resolve site-related issues during or after construction.
• Stay updated on local ordinances and zoning changes.
