Job summary

CVQuest seeks a Field Technician/Engineer for an on-site role in Blackheath, Cape Town. You will hold a Millwright/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering qualification with 5 years’ experience in a technical/manufacturing setting.

The role includes writing technical documentation, training staff locally and internationally, and travelling nationally and internationally. You will work independently and as part of a team, under strict quality and H&S standards.

Qualifications

• Non-negotiable: Millwright / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering qualification.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a technical / manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands-on ability with a passion for producing detailed written reports.
• Excellent planning, organisational and client interaction skills.
• Business English proficiency (written and verbal).
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Solid attendance record with sound references.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong adherence to quality and H&S standards.
• Valid driver’s license and passport for travelling locally and internationally.
• Live in Western Cape.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and after-sales support.
• Write and validate technical information used for documentation.
• Develop and maintain a database of technical specifications and information.
• Supply technical information to marketing, sales, spares and customers.
• Participate in projects and research as required.
• Conduct testing and validations.
• Deliver training sessions.
• Travel nationally and internationally for training, projects, commissioning and fault finding.

The successful candidate will need a Millwright / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering qualification with 5 years’ experience generating reports and training people (locally and internationally) in a technical / manufacturing environment.

Only candidates already in the Western Cape will be considered.

Working Hours

• Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30
• Friday: 08:00 - 16:00
