Job summary

Avalon Lester is seeking a Field Support Technician to install, support and service specialised access-controlled products within the mining sector. The role involves regular travel to client sites, on-site troubleshooting, customer training, and remote support.

The successful candidate must be medically fit to meet mining site compliance and be able to work extended hours and standby when required. Full product training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Matric is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Minimum 5 years IT experience.
• Networking experience is required.
• Experience with Microsoft operating systems.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting ability.
• Helpdesk and customer support experience.
• Ability to work extended hours and standby when required.
• Medically fit to work on mining sites and pass inductions.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and service specialised access-controlled products.
• Provide on-site troubleshooting and remote support.
• Deliver customer training and aftersales support.
• Travel regularly to client sites and maintain high service standards.
