About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Field Service Technician to join their team, focusing on the maintenance and repair of wind turbines in the Richards Bay area. This role requires a hands-on individual capable of performing complex diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs on large-scale wind energy equipment. You will be an essential part of ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of our client's wind farm assets, contributing directly to the renewable energy output of the region. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and component replacements on wind turbines.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues impacting turbine performance.
• Safely operate tools, diagnostic equipment, and specialized machinery required for turbine maintenance.
• Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and protocols, including working at heights and in potentially hazardous conditions.
• Document all maintenance activities, findings, and parts used in the service management system.

Requirements

• Technical qualification or apprenticeship in mechanical, electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in maintaining and repairing heavy machinery, preferably wind turbines or industrial equipment.
• Ability to work at significant heights and in various weather conditions.

• Valid driver's license and ability to work flexible hours, including on-call rotations as needed in Richards Bay.
