Job summary

MPRTC is seeking a skilled underground diesel mechanic for a heavy maintenance role in South Africa. The candidate must hold a Grade 12/Matric and a recognised trade test, with at least 3 years in underground mechanised mining and experience with TMM LHDs, dump trucks, drill rigs and roof bolters.

You will diagnose electrical faults, perform repairs, keep accurate records, and adhere to mining safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Grade 12/Matric is mandatory.
• Recognised trade test in Diesel Mechanics, Auto Electrical or Millwright.
• Minimum 3 years in underground mechanised mining environment.
• Certificate of Fitness (Red Ticket) required.
• Code 08 driver's license required.
• Experience with electrical fault-finding, maintenance and repairs.

• Valid Code 08 drivers licence
• Experience in electrical fault-finding, maintenance and repairs
• Knowledge of mining safety procedures and compliance
• Strong troubleshooting, recordkeeping and communication skills
