Placements24 is seeking a Field Service Technician to service and repair power generation equipment across client sites in the Soweto area. You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot diesel/gas generators, with on-site support and detailed service records.

The role requires a trade qualification (N3 or equivalent), at least 3 years in field service, and the ability to travel extensively within Gauteng. Strong mechanical skills and good communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (e.g., N3 or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of experience servicing and maintaining power generation equipment (diesel/gas generators).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Valid driver''s license and willingness to travel extensively within the region.
• Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
