Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to deliver on-site installation, maintenance, and commissioning of industrial machinery in the Rustenburg, North West area. The role combines field work with a hybrid setup for planning and reporting.

You will diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and train client staff while ensuring safety standards and accurate service documentation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.
• Willing to travel extensively within Rustenburg region.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission new equipment at client sites per specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and preventive servicing to maximize uptime.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues.
• Maintain detailed service reports documenting work and parts used.
• Provide on-site technical training to client personnel.
