Job summary

Tetra Pak in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Service Engineer to join our Customer Service Operations team. Based in Cape Town, you will deliver services and critical technical support to customers across the Southern Africa region with a high degree of autonomy and extensive travel (approximately 75%) to customer sites.

Qualifications

Five years of relevant technical experience in Food & Beverage.
Trade or diploma with process instrumentation and mechanical fitting.
Knowledge of TPM/continuous improvement is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead installation, commissioning and maintenance of processing equipment per global standards.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical and automation systems to meet specifications.
Conduct root cause analysis and escalate complex issues via internal channels.
Provide operator training at customer sites.
Ensure compliance with Food Safety, QA and OHS procedures.
Share knowledge and mentor colleagues on technical topics.
Submit accurate service reports, time logs and travel expenses.
