Placements24 is seeking a Field Installation Specialist to install, configure and test security systems in the Soweto area. You will work on CCTV, access control and alarm panels at residential and commercial sites, ensuring reliability and safety while delivering clear handover to clients.

The role is field-based, customer-facing and requires strong technical aptitude, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read system diagrams and install low-voltage wiring with precision.

Qualifications

• Proven experience installing and servicing security systems (alarm, CCTV, access control).
• Strong understanding of low-voltage wiring, electronics and network basics for security systems.
• Ability to read and interpret system diagrams and installation manuals.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure security systems such as CCTV cameras, access control readers, and alarm panels.
• Run and terminate low-voltage cables for security system components.
• Test and commission installed systems, ensuring functionality and specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation-related issues with necessary adjustments.
• Provide basic training and handover to clients on operation and features.
• Maintain accurate installation records, work orders, and site reports.
