Placements24 is seeking an energetic Field Sales Representative for the Richards Bay area to drive product sales, build retailer relationships, and ensure strong brand visibility in the FMCG market.

You will execute territory sales strategies, visit stores to monitor stock and merchandising, identify new business opportunities, and provide excellent service while negotiating with distributors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; a sales/marketing qualification is advantageous.
• Proven experience in sales, preferably FMCG, with territory management.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to build retail relationships.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an energetic and customer-focused Field Sales Representative to join their expanding FMCG team in the Richards Bay area. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with retail partners, driving product sales, and ensuring brand visibility in your assigned territory. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication and negotiation skills, who is passionate about driving sales and achieving targets within the fast-paced consumer goods market. You will be the face of our client's brands in the region, contributing directly to their market presence and success.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve territory sales targets and objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail clients, distributors, and stakeholders in the assigned territory.
• Promote and sell a range of FMCG products, ensuring optimal product placement and visibility in stores.
• Conduct regular store visits to monitor stock levels, merchandising, and promotional activities.
• Identify new business opportunities and potential clients within the territory.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve any client issues promptly and professionally.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a tertiary qualification in sales or marketing is advantageous.
• Proven experience as a sales representative, preferably within the FMCG sector.
• Excellent knowledge of sales techniques and territory management.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for travel within the territory.
