Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Field Officer - Community Development to serve the Richards Bay community in KwaZulu-Natal. In this hands-on role, you will engage with community members to assess needs, facilitate program participation, and provide support to development initiatives.

The ideal candidate has strong local knowledge, excellent communication, and a passion for empowering communities. You will work on the front lines, monitor field activities, and report findings to help improve

• Strong understanding of community dynamics in Richards Bay.

Responsibilities

• Conduct community needs assessments and surveys to identify key challenges and opportunities for intervention.
• Facilitate the implementation of community development projects at the grassroots level.
• Engage directly with community members, providing information, support, and guidance related to available services.
• Monitor the progress and impact of field activities, collecting data and documenting progress regularly.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with community leaders and local stakeholders in the Richards Bay area.
• Report findings, challenges, and successes to the program management team, contributing to program adjustments.
