Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Community Outreach Officer to engage with residents in Richards Bay and throughout KwaZulu-Natal. This field-based role focuses on building trusted community connections and guiding residents to social services and programs.

You will identify community needs, organize meetings, and travel to diverse neighborhoods, contributing to social impact and ongoing program development.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Community Development, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Experience in community engagement or outreach work.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute outreach activities engaging diverse community members.
• Identify and assess community needs and report findings to management.
• Promote awareness of social services and programs.
• Build relationships with community leaders, residents, and local organisations.
• Organize and facilitate community meetings, workshops, and information sessions.
• Collect data and feedback to inform program development.
