Job summary

Wild Dreams Hospitality in Limpopo is seeking a hands-on couple-friendly Bush Guide to lead morning and afternoon game drives and walking safaris, living on site in a remote lodge.

You will combine storytelling with expert knowledge of the Big Five, bush ecology, and tracking, ensuring guest safety and memorable experiences while managing guides and lodge operations.

Qualifications

• FGASA qualification is required.
• DEAT registration is required.
• Valid PDP is required.
• First Aid certification is required.
• Other relevant guiding certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct morning and afternoon game drives, sharing knowledge of flora, fauna, and Big Five behaviour.
• Ensure guest safety at all times during drives and walks.
• Maintain and check guiding vehicle for roadworthiness and cleanliness.
• Build rapport with guests to create a memorable, personal safari experience.
• Assist with general lodge and guiding operations as needed.

This is a hands-on guiding role suited to a couple who thrive on shared purpose in a remote bush environment, delivering unforgettable game drives and walking experiences while living and working together on site.

Core Criteria:

• FGASA qualification
• DEAT registration
• Valid PDP
• Valid First Aid certification
• Other relevant guiding certifications advantageous
• Comfortable working and living in a remote lodge environment
• Strong knowledge of Big Five behaviour, bush ecology, and tracking
• Excellent guest interaction and storytelling ability
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work well as part of a team
