Job summary

Barloworld Equipment (Pty) Ltd is seeking a qualified artisan to provide expert technical support, investigations and reporting on resolutions of product issues in collaboration with service engineering and management. You will work to improve product health and deliver end-user acceptance at lower cost.

You will support new product introductions, present issues to management, compile issue reports and assist warranty resolutions.

Qualifications

Qualified Artisan with minimum 5 years trade qualification in diesel or earthmoving equipment.
Experience in technical report writing is essential.
Solid understanding of the warranty process from start to end, including goodwill claims.
Applied failure analysis (AFA) and related training are advantageous.
Field service/technical analyst experience is advantageous.
Strong machine system operations and component experience.
Demonstrated planning, prioritizing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provide expert technical support for warranty resolutions and product issues.
Collaborate with Service Engineering, Caterpillar and Management.
Improve product health and end-user acceptance in area of responsibility.
Compile informative product issue reports for Service Engineering and Management.
Support new product introductions and trainings for users.
Present product issues to management and drive resolutions.
Plan and prioritize field service activities efficiently.
