Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an energetic Community Mobilizer to foster engagement and drive participation in Queenstown programs, Eastern Cape. You will connect with residents, understand needs, and encourage active involvement in community initiatives designed to improve livelihoods and well-being.

This hands-on role requires building trust, disseminating information, and galvanizing local support for the charitable mission, with a focus on grassroots development and empowering communities.

Qualifications

• Experience in community engagement or social work is advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in field-based roles.
• Patience, empathy, and desire to serve the community.

Responsibilities

• Engage directly with community members to build trust and rapport.
• Identify community needs and mobilize residents to participate.
• Disseminate information about services, events, and opportunities.
• Facilitate community meetings and discussions to gather feedback.
• Support organization of community events and outreach activities.
• Act as liaison between community and the organization with clear communication.
