Job summary

Sasso Consulting (Pty) Ltd is seeking a results-driven Business Development Representative to expand our school infrastructure footprint in Gauteng. The role focuses on identifying schools needing new or upgraded modular buildings and introducing decision-makers to our solutions.

You will prospect, visit schools, and arrange meetings with principals and facilities managers, while the sales team handles proposals and negotiations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years' Business Development experience.
• Experience in external sales, field sales or new business development.
• Ability to prospect independently and generate opportunities.
• Comfortable with cold calling and persistent follow-up.
• Able to secure meetings with owners and senior decision-makers.
• Comfortable with face-to-face meetings and presentations.
• Excellent English communication; Afrikaans advantageous.
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
• Willingness to travel across Kempton Park, Johannesburg and Pretoria.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify suitable private, independent and public schools across Gauteng.
• Develop a strong education-sector prospect database.
• Cold call and approach prospective schools.
• Establish contact with principals, school owners, bursars, facilities managers and GSB members.
• Arrange and attend face-to-face meetings, school visits and presentations.
• Build relationships with key education-sector decision-makers.
• Identify current and future infrastructure requirements and opportunities.
• Provide comprehensive lead information to enable sales/contracts team to progress proposals.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and regular follow-ups.
• Travel extensively throughout the Gauteng region to travel sites.
