Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; fiber optics certification is a strong asset.
• Proven experience as a Fiber Optic Technician or similar role is preferred.
• Proficiency with fiber optic testing and splicing equipment is expected.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and splice fiber optic cables according to industry standards.
• Perform testing and troubleshooting of fiber optic networks using specialized equipment (OTDR, power meters).
• Diagnose and repair faults in the fiber optic network, ensuring minimal service disruption.
• Read and interpret network blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including testing results and installation details.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
