Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Fiber Optic Technician or in a similar role within telecommunications.
• Proficiency in fiber optic splicing techniques, connectorization, and testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with different types of fiber optic cables and network architectures.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, splice, and test fiber optic cables according to industry standards and company procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on fiber optic networks to identify and resolve faults.
• Conduct site surveys and assess installation requirements, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Operate and maintain specialized fiber optic testing equipment, such as OTDRs and fusion splicers.
• Respond to service calls and emergency repairs to restore connectivity promptly.
• Document all work performed, including test results, and update network records accurately.
