Placements24 seeks an experienced Fiber Optic Network Planner to lead design and planning of new fiber deployments in Vereeniging. You will analyze survey data, design routes, and produce comprehensive network plans for construction teams to execute.

The role requires expert knowledge of fiber optics, GIS, and CAD tools, with strong project management and communication skills to coordinate with stakeholders and ensure timely delivery in the Gauteng region.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fiber optic network design and planning.
• Strong ability to interpret site plans and civil data.
• Experience using GIS and CAD for network design.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies for new fiber optic deployments.
• Design optimal network routes considering technical, civil, and cost factors.
• Prepare detailed network designs including splice diagrams and conduit layouts.
• Use GIS/CAD software for accurate network mapping and design.
• Coordinate with construction teams, authorities and stakeholders for project execution.
• Maintain and update network inventory and documentation.
