Qualifications

• Valid driver''s license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise field teams responsible for fiber optic cable installation, splicing, and testing.
• Plan and schedule installation projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely completion.
• Oversee site preparation, ensuring all safety protocols and environmental regulations are strictly followed.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to design specifications.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage inventory of materials and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Liaise with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to provide project updates and resolve issues.
• Train and mentor installation technicians, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
• Ensure all project documentation, including as-built drawings and test reports, is accurate and complete.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of installation processes and standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in fiber optic installation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Proven experience managing large-scale fiber optic deployment projects.
• Strong understanding of fiber optic splicing, testing, and termination methodologies.
• Knowledge of relevant safety standards and best practices in telecommunications installations.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting network designs, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
• Ability to work effectively in a field environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Northern Cape region.
