Placements24 seeks a Lead Fibre Optic Deployment Specialist to oversee fibre optic deployment projects in Cape Town, Western Cape. This senior role requires proven leadership, extensive fibre optic infrastructure experience, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams from survey to service activation.

You will set project plans, monitor budgets, ensure safety and quality standards, coordinate with authorities and customers, and report progress to senior management.

Competenze

• Proven experience in fibre optic network deployment, including both aerial and underground installations.
• Demonstrated experience in a leadership or supervisory role, managing technical teams.
• Strong understanding of fibre optic splicing techniques, testing equipment (OTDR, fusion splicers), and network design principles.
• Excellent project management skills, with experience using project management software.
• Knowledge of relevant South African building codes, regulations, and permit processes.
• Ability to read and interpret network design blueprints and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and decision-making skills under pressure.

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Western Cape region.
