Competenze

About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding telecommunications infrastructure company, is seeking a results-oriented and experienced Fiber Optic Network Deployment Manager to oversee critical projects in Pretoria, Gauteng . This senior role is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and completion of fiber optic network deployment projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will manage a team of project coordinators, field technicians, and external contractors, driving efficiency and excellence throughout the deployment lifecycle. This hybrid position offers the flexibility to balance office-based strategic planning with on-site project oversight. We are looking for a leader with a strong understanding of fiber optic technologies, project management methodologies, and a commitment to safety and quality. Your expertise will be vital in expanding our client's fiber network footprint and delivering high-speed connectivity solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of fiber optic network deployment projects from initiation to closure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Telecommunications), Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in telecommunications project management, with at least 3 years focused on fiber optic network deployments.
• Proven experience managing complex, large-scale fiber optic infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of fiber optic technologies, installation methods, testing, and standards (e.g., FTTH, FTTB).
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing project budgets.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned region.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a significant advantage.
